The Fertility
Tracker works be detecting changes in a woman's estrogen levels. During the
early part of your menstrual cycle, estrogen slowly increases in your system
and peaks just before you ovulate. These fluctuations in hormone levels are
directly reflected in saliva samples, which indicate an increased presence of
estrogen through the appearance of "ferning patterns".
When viewed through
a microscope, saliva ferning patterns look like crystals or frost on
glass. As you approach ovulation, higher levels of estrogen in your
system will produce increasingly stronger ferning patterns in dry saliva
samples! This makes the ovulation microscope a highly accurate, mess-free
solution for predicting when you are fertile. Simply view dried saliva
samples to determine when you are most fertile: A sample that displays
strong ferning patterns tells you that ovulation is right around the
corner!
Best of all, with
the Fertility Tracker you can monitor the gradual, daily increase of
estrogen in your system and "track" ferning intensity - from
"non-fertile" phases where no crystal patterns are present
through "transitional" and "peak" fertility stages.
